Admission Criteria
Applicants must have a good first degree or HND, in addition to a Professional Diploma or a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Leadership from FLED Institute or any other recognized institution.
Who Can Apply
The Executive Masters Program is designed for individual with requisite academic qualification who also desire to obtain professional graduate qualification in leadership to enable them master the art and science of leadership for effective functioning in public governance.
Introduction
Political leadership requires a great deal of artistry. Given the complexity of society in the 21st century, aspiring political leaders at any level must learn to deal with these complexities and drive society towards sustainable development and stability. Emerging political leaders must understand the unfolding trends as well as be equipped with requisite political skills to navigate the contours of public leadership in a diverse world.
The Executive Masters in Public Leadership and Governance (EM-PLG) is designed to broaden the visionary capacity of men and women who want to pursue a long term career in public Politics to prepare them for in-depth public leadership roles.
This Course has a balanced mix of theoretical interrogations and pragmatic focus on practical leadership challenges, drawing from past and contemporary global examples.
The Course has five key components:
Theoretical Course work – Candidates are required to attend classes online and onsite and to participate actively.
Concepts Study/Seminar Presentation – Candidates are required to conduct in-depth study of a few concepts, prepare a paper on one topic, and make presentation for assessment.
Mentoring Engagement – Candidates are to engage in practical mentorship assignment for a period of 3 months as part of the programme.
Hybrid Capstone Project – Each student is expected to organise and implement a social impact project that demonstrates their commitment to social responsibility.

Conditions for award of Executive Masters
- A student must have completed approved standard in his/her work and examinations
- A student must complete the given curricular as set forth by the Institute
- A student must have obtained a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 1.50
- A student must have completed payment of approved program fees
Course Certification
The course is graded and participants that successful complete the theoretical and practical aspects are issued with Executive Masters in Public Leadership & Governance.
Sponsorship
Candidates who cannot afford the fees are encouraged to seek sponsorship from individuals and organizations.
POST-GRADUATION:
Candidates that complete the course at acceptabel levels could be admitted to pursue the Executive Doctorate in Public Leadership & Governance – ED-PLG
