The Executive Doctorate (Dr.pl) is a professional doctoral program designed for experienced executives, leaders, and professionals who desire to obtain advanced professional certification, outside the conventional academic route.

Conditions for Admission
The process of admission to Executive Doctorate is through Validation of Prior Learning and Experience -VPLE. This involves the submission to Fled Institute a portfolio of evidence for evaluation of the candidate’s work experience, skills, competencies, and publication.
A good Master degree, Postgraduate Certificate. Individuals with years of public leadership experience with only 1st degree or HND could be considered based on Validation of Prior Learning and Experience – VPLE, which will be submitted during application.
Considerations shall be given to Senior executives in the public or private sector who are available to undertake the program.
Candidates are expected to undertake the following.
- Theoretical Coursework – participate in a flexible course work, taught by Fled Faculty.
- Seminar Presentation – to conduct an in-depth study of a key concept of public interest and prepare a paper on it for presentation and assessment.
- Social Impact Project – Expected to initiate a social impact project to demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility.
- Educational Study Tour/Mentorship – to undertake a visit and mentoring engagement in a corporate or governmental Institution within or outside their country of residence, and submit learning outcome of the process.
KEY ELEMENTS OF EXECUTIVE DOCTORATE PROGRAM
Social Impact Project & Mentoring
You Students will be able to be able to demonstrate empathy in public leadership by taking up mentoring assignment and initiating and implementing a social impact project withing their community.
Field Trips
An experiential aspect of the Executive Doctorate program is the field trip. It could be held within the city/country of each student or Cross-city or cross-country.
Visit to companies and government institutions to see how the actual leadership is demonstrated. You will meet people who have strong experience in leadership and who will share with you the information about their leadership journey and their organizations.
Personal Development
You will acquire the knowledge and experience that will greatly contribute to your personal development!
Self-awareness
You will understand yourself better – your strengths and weaknesses. A person will always be more successful in trying to build the career basing on own strengths and not weaknesses. Being aware of your strong sides you will be able to understand better what are the ways of working that can deliver the best result for you.
Professional knowledge
You learn about the modern leadership practices; you will learn the basics of the theories that are commonly accepted by the modern leadership environment. You receive the professional knowledge which helps you to understand current leadership trends better and be able to make a better decision while acting in practice.
Leadership Skills
You will develop your leadership skills. You have unique gifts and natural leadership skills that you were born with and personal strengths you’ve developed over your lifetime. Realizing and utilizing these gifts and strengths will assist you in being a formidable leader. And we will help you to do it!
Communications Skills
Having great leadership skills includes your ability to clearly and specifically communicate your vision, goals, skills, intentions, and expectations to others. This also includes your ability to listen to what other people are consciously or unconsciously communicating. To become a great communicator, you must continually strive to improve your verbal, nonverbal, and listening skills. The course helps you to develop your communication skills – especially public speaking skills!
Inter-cultural Communication
Communication has become an international – and therefore an intercultural – matter. The importance of understanding cultural parameters and mutual perceptions is rapidly increasing in fields such as business, education, conflict resolution, and more. Students will develop their intercultural communication skills and start understanding better people from other countries and with other cultures!

Tuition: N1.5m/US$1,150 – One-off payment

1st Installment: N800k/$550 (Due at inception).
2nd Installment: N400k/$350 (Due 6 months from inception)
3rd Installment: N400K/$300 (Due 12 months from inception)

Program Evaluation: Program will be evaluated based on the completion of the four conditions listed above.
